"Ollie Hancock has been selected by the British Racing Drivers’ Club from amongst the hundreds of young hopefuls who set their sights on becoming successful racing drivers every year. As one of the BRDC’s ’Rising Stars’ he has already set himself apart from the rest and has exhibited the kind of potential which can lead to the very top. In my view, he would be a good investment to any sponsor looking for the chance to get their name on the podium."

Damon Hill OBE President BRDC and 1996 Formula One World Champion

Ever since Ollie was a young lad driving around the garden on the lawn mower and riding bikes across the field, he has always has an aspiration to go as fast as he possibly could. This saw him turn to Go karts when he was just 8 years of age, racing at his local track of Blackbushe. After participating in only a handfull of races, he won his third ever Final.

After many years of diving in and out of go karts, Ollie's father gifted him the chance to try his hand in a real racing car for his 16th birthday. The car to be, was a Van Dieman RF82, similar to the one Ayrton Senna raced in 1982 and won the Formula Ford 2000 Championship. The first day was successfull, posting times to place him 5th on the grid in the race for the weekend ahead.

Ollie has since gone on to become BARC Renault champion in 2008, raced in FIA Formula Two, raced at the famous Daytona 24hrs, has been a Factory Lotus Motorsport Driver and now is pursuing his dream of winning the Le Mans 24hrs.

Whilst Ollie is not behind the wheel of car, he can be found on his Weilier road bike cycling the lanes of Hampshire, wakeboarding, snowboarding, or working for one of the many car manufactures training collegues on the latest products.
